About Me

Welcome to Taking Up My Cross. As you can see by the title of this blog, one of my favorite scriptural verses comes from Luke 9:23-25 which speaks on how we as disciples of Christ are to take up our cross and follow Him daily.

Luke 9:23-25
23. Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. 24 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. 25 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost?”

I created this blog with the purpose of impacting you and prayerfully giving you a different, biblical perspective on situations that have happened in your lives and bringing God’s message to all people around the world and making an impact on your lives.

I am a 20-year old blogger who enjoys listening to a wide range of Christian music (Amy Grant, Kirk Franklin, For King and Country, etc…) but currently; I love listening to three songs that really touch my heart: Hills and Valleys by Tauren Wells and O Come to the Altar by Elevation Worship, and O Come to the Table by Sidewalk Prophets. Along with listening to music; I enjoy reading in my spare time.

Some of the books I enjoy reading include, but not limited to:

4 S’s of a Committed Leader by Pastor Dewayne Freeman

The Spirit of Python by Pastor Jentezen Franklin

Chosen, Infidel, and Black by Ted Dekker

A quote that I found on Pinterest says:

You May Not See It Yet,

But God Has the Right Pieces

To Make the Puzzle of Your Life

Fit Together

I am a believer and follower of Jesus Christ who is ready to deny himself and pick up my pain, fears, and suffering and follow Christ. Throughout this blog, you will find that most of the posts focus on topics that we sometimes don’t want to talk about or are unsure about.

However, I pray that throughout your time on my blog that you will come to know Jesus Christ as I have come to know Him; as Lord, Savior, and Friend.

God Bless!
